Stock ImagesIn 2007 I explored stock photography, but never really got into. At the time I loaded about 50 images on three that sell images. I forget about them until I recently got a message from iStockPhoto advising that I have had a high approval rating and I sold in excess of 250 images. This qualified me to become an "exclusive contributor" and earn higher commission. I immediatly set out investigated the implications. Firstly, should I apply and be successful, I would need to remove all images from other sites that were selling my images. That initiated a journey of discovery that revealed how successful my first few images where. Best of all, my images earned commission waiting for to claim it. Really cool. Secondly, I learnt that I could continue to sell printed images, as found on this site. Thirdly, iStockphoto is the largest royalty free site selling images. Taking these factors into account I applied and was pleased to learn that I was successful. Now the work starts. I have acculated thousands of photos over the past five years that qualify for stock. So, as I prepare images for print sales via this site, I plan to load versions for download via iStockphoto. So, do visit my portfolio on iStockphoto when next you are searching for an image for a design or print.
